I would love to come visit your school, book shop, writing group, library, or organization in person within a 50-mile radius of Buffalo, NY. I am open to traveling further adding in travel expenses. School visits usually consists of multiple grade level sessions broken up over a half or full day.

I am happy to visit virtually anywhere in the world!

VISIT OPTIONS:

1.) How To Write A Story (Grades 2-5; 45 min.)

I will help lead a discussion about the elements that make a good story. I will help the kids come up with ideas that they could write about and help the students begin making their own books. Best done with a group of 30 or less with desks or tables and writing supplies.

2.) How to Write in Rhyme (Grades 2-5; 45 min.)

I will review the basic elements of poetry. I will provide examples of different styles of poems. Kids will craft their own poems using two different poetic forms. This is best done with a group of 30 or less with desks or tables and writing supplies.

3.) Everyone Has a Story (2-adult; 45 min.)

I will talk about the history of story-making including oral and written stories. I will talk about how stories help us better understand ourselves, others, and the world. I will also help the audience come up with some good ideas for creating their own stories. Presentation best for small assemblies or classrooms.

My Visit Rates:

In person presentations are $150 for one 45 min session.

Virtual presentations are $75.

These rates are open to negotiation based on your organization’s budget.
